Voice Integrated Products: Notification and Monitoring

SpeakEasy Solo

SpeakEasy Solo is a powerful “lone worker” monitoring system. It uses enhanced Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology to maintain close contact with staff that may be working in isolated or ‘at risk’ circumstances. The system will automatically alert a backup team in the event of an ‘out of response’ event or failure to respond.

In addition, SpeakEasy Solo provides a simple, intuitive interface that can be accessed from any touch-tone telephone along with extensive real-time statistics for management information.

In outline:

On commencing their shift, the lone worker will dial into the SpeakEasy system and ‘log in’.

The lone worker will be prompted to give specific details of their next activity. These details can include a name, address, telephone number etc. As an example, an activity could be travelling to a site, performing a task or attending an appointment.

The system will then prompt the lone worker to enter the estimated duration of the activity in minutes.

The system will class the lone worker as “active” for the specified duration.

In the event that the lone worker does not call back to confirm an activity as ‘complete’ within the specified period, the system will automatically contact the lone worker via phone, pager or email.

If no response is received within a number of programmed attempts, e.g. 3 with 2-minute intervals, the system will automatically notify the back up team and replay the lone worker’s last known activity details.

The backup team can then take whatever remedial action is required.

Once a lone worker has completed an activity, they can dial into the system, update the status on the current activity and schedule their next activity as above.

When the lone worker has finished their shift they would dial into the system and ‘log off’.

Features and Benefits

· Real time monitoring of staff and notification of alerts via telephone,
  SMS or email. Current and previous activities can be replayed from
  any administration position to provide total visibility on lone worker
  movements.

· All options and instructions to the lone workers will be spoken to
  them across the phone. This will make the use of the system as
  easy and straight forward as possible. Each call to or from the
  system can be PIN protected.

· The system supports a panic PIN, which will activate an alert on
   behalf of the lone worker. The interface will perform as if the

  
normal PIN had been entered and notify the backup team directly.
